Customer Master: Sources

 

Sources are used to group customer accounts for reporting, filtering, and marketing. Customers can belong to multiple sources. For information about adding a new customer source code to the system, see the Customer Source page.

 

Create a new Customer Source on the fly by clicking on the hyperlinked Source Code of an existing source. This will open the Customer Source window. Click the New button in the window to create a new source code. For more information, see the Customer Source page.

 

To assign a customer to a source

 

1.Click the Edit button in the bottom right corner after selecting the Sources tab. Click on the Add Customer Source button in the lower left corner of the Sources window.

2.Enter the code or description of the source in the Source Code field to the left and press Tab, or click on the to browse a list of available codes. A description of the source will appear to the right and a new blank entry will appear below your entry.

Note: Be sure that a blank entry appears after you select your source, or your entry will not be registered.

 

3.Click the Save button in the bottom right corner to save your source to the master file. An example of a completed entry is shown below.

To remove the customer from a source

1.Click the Edit button in the bottom toolbar, then click the button to the right of the entry that you wish to delete.

2.Click the Save button in the bottom toolbar to save the changes to the master file.
